U -- UPDATE AND PRESENT A COURSE OF INSTRUCTION ENTITLED "ARCHITECTURAL HARDWARE -- QUALITY VERIFICATION." Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Alabama, intends to make an award to update and present a course of instruction entitled "Architectural Hardware -- Quality Verification." This will be a firm-fixed price commercial items contract with two option years. Dates and locations are as follows: Session 99-01, 19-23 July 1999, Denver Colorado; Option Year Session 00-01, 26-30 June 2000, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas; Option Year Session 01-01, 9-13 July 2001. This course is designed to develop new skills oriented to the quality verification of hardware used in building construction and updates the student's knowledge of curent industry practices and changes in specifications. It also provides training results in a more effective quality assurance. Offeror shall provide an instructor team which shall not exceed four instructors. Each instructor shall be certified as an Architectural Hardware Consultant or as a certified Door Consultant and shall have a minimum of ten years experience in the architectural hardware industry. Each instructor shall have at least 175 hours of training experience during the past five years in architectural hardware-related courses. Each instructor shall have utilized the Corps of Engineers Guide Specifications. The staff and instructor team shall be experienced in revising and administering short courses of procurement. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. Any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past three years does not exceed $5,000,000.00 is considered a small business.
