SEMINAR: SELLING TO STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT Thursday October 8, 1998, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. This introductory seminar will discuss strategies for marketing to state and local governments. The governments of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as county and local governments, promote open competition for most procurement -- -generally exceeding $1,000. These procurements represent unique opportunities for small and growing businesses to obtain government contracts without the commitment required for larger, Federal bids. The instructor for this class will be Jim Regan, Director of PTAP.
