The Joint STARS Program Office intends to acquire, from Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), two (2) manual defuel valve access panels for the Joint STARS E-8A Training Aircraft and Aircraft Maintenance Trainer (AMT). The access panel modification will replace the current panel. The modification must be certified for use on 707 aircraft. The access panels must be identical to the modification being accomplished by NGC as an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) to the current Joint STARS production contracts. The units must be able to interface with existing hardware. The effort shall include, but is not limited to all engineering, program management, configuration control, equipment production, and quality assurance. The Government anticipates a 30 October 1998 contract award date. The units must be ready for fielding within one (1) year of contract award. Interested sources must submit responses within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice. Responses should include information regarding the capabilities of the firm to accomplish this work.
