The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a fixed price type contract to Sierra Nevada Corporation, Sparks, NV. The contract will be for thirteen Radar Doppler Video Processor (RDVP) Field Change Kits (FCKs), associated Maintenance Assistance Modules (MAMS), Installation and Checkout Spares (INCOS), and associated technical documentation. This production contract will contain a base year with four option years. SNC designed, developed and delivered two working models of the RDVP under contract N00140-93-C-AC78. The RDVP improves the AN/SPN-46(V) operation and performance during adverse weather conditions (rain). Only Sierra Nevada Corporation, as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the RDVP has the capability to meet Government requirements pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), sole source. See Note 22.
