The engineer shall support the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Depot Maintenance Engineering efforts for the H-60 aircraft and shall reside on-site at AMCOM Depot Maintenance Engineering Team (DMET), Corpus Christi, Texas. AMCOM DMET is co-located with the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) the Army's helicopter overhaul and repair facility. All services and data delivered under this contract require the design expertise and proprietary data available only from the aircraft designer. The services provided by a resident engineer include repair and design expertise and data, physical evaluation of aircraft airframes and components, exchange of new repair development data with government engineers, and periodic review and analysis of condemned material. Tentative solicitation closing date is 13 Nov 98. Period of performance will be one year with an option to extend for two additional years. The total estimated cost of the proposed acquisition is $577,000.00, which includes the option for the two additional years effort.
