101398 POC Brenda Rhodes, Purchasing Agent, 407/380/4306 This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
N61339-98-Q-2014 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) and
incorporates the provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. This solicitation shall be awarded
on a sole source basis to Overview Systems Inc. The Standard
Industrial Classification Code for this solicitation is 8999 and the
small business annual receipts of $5M. The following item is required:
Raised Flooring Product and Installation at Company D, Computer
Science School, Bldg 1757, Room 107, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat
Center 29 Palms, CA in accordance with statement of work. Statement of
Work (SOW). PART 1 GENERAL. 1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION. In connection
with installation of USMC Electronic Classrooms. In classroom 107,
accomplish the following: a. Provide and install flexible foam plastic
underlayment over the entire classroom floor area to be covered by the
raised floor or ramps. b. Provide and install 120-volt power wiring
over the underlayment. Connect the raised floor wiring cables to the
existing cable harnesses provided by you and installed by others. Each
cable harness will contain two 20-amp circuits for a total of eight
circuits. The new wiring cables by the flooring contractor shall be
arranged so that four new flooring power receptacles shall be on each
circuit, for a total of 32 new receptacles. Provide grommets, junction
blocks, inserts and 40 duplex receptacles in the raised floor. c.
Provide and install Category 5 data cabling starting at the future hub
location at the rear of the classroom. Extend wiring to 3l locations
and terminate in 3l modular housings and 31 modular duplex RJ45 insert
jacks. d. Provide and install ramps at each of the two hall entry
doors. Provide and install handrails where shown. e. Provide and
install three-inch high raised flooring over the entire classroom.
Flooring to be of polycarbonate plastic construction in 9-inch by
9-inch modules. Provide cutouts, grommets and inserts at each data
jack, power receptacle and hole location in the raised floor. Provide
a 9-inch by 16-inch hole at the data hub location and at the front of
the classroom as shown on the attached layout. f. Provide and install
Grey Vinyl Base Molding at base of walls above the finish raised
flooring. g. Provide and install carpet tiles over the entire raised
floor, ramps, and raised platform top and sides and step. Carpet shall
be Milliken Colorweave in any of the following colors; 141 Sapphire
Gem, 142 Opal Gem, 144 Garnet Gem or 146 Emerald Gem. Only one color is
to be used throughout the room. Adhere to the raised floor with
pressure sensitive adhesive and to the platform and ramps with
permanent carpet adhesive. h. Provide an "As-Built" Drawing showing the
location of all jacks, receptacles, cutouts and wiring runs as
installed. Deliver after floor completion to MSgt Coward, Bldg 1757,
(760) 830-4860. i. The accompanying drawing shows the raised floor and
describes the sizes and locations of items that will be installed by
others prior to raised floor installation. j. Provide single ended
power cable harnesses (pigtails) to the site, prior to the installation
of the raised floor for installation by the Site Preparation
(Electrical) Contractor. Refer to the attached Floor Junction Box
Detail for more information. 2. All work shall conform to the latest
edition of the National Electrical Code and any applicable based
regulations. 3. If any deviations are required during installation, the
accompanying diagrams shall be marked to denote these and delivered
after work completion to Mr. Ike Burr, Bldg 1130, Facilities Management
Divison, (760) 830-6654. Coordinate classroom access and installation
times with MSgt Coward, Bldg 1757, (760) 830-4860. 4. Work shall
becompleted by close of business on Friday, 30 October 1998. Additional
B Company Work: B Company work shall be performed in Building 1761,
Room 101, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, CA. The
following work shall be accomplished with the work listed above for
Company D: 5 Provide and install Grey Vinyl Base Molding at base of
walls above the finished raised flooring. 6. Install the one ramp
railing already purchased for B Company raised flooring installation.
7. Coordinate classroom access and installation with GSgt. Natalie
Davis, Bldg 1761, (760) 830-6888. The following FAR provisions and
clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. The
following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(b), and DFARS addenda thereto,
apply: (6), (7), (8), (9) and (16); 252.225-7001 and 252.225-7036. A
completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, and the following DFARS addenda, must
be included with quote: 252.225-7000 and 252.225-7035. See Note 22
(forty-five days is changed to read fifteen days). Quote is dueat 4PM
