Ramirez, Contracting Officer, (708) 786-5181 Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center, Hines, Illinois, intends to contract on behalf of U.S. Army Medical Command, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, a best value, sole-source contract with Bergen-Brunswig Medical Corporation, 9900 Jeb Stuart Parkway, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The contract will be negotiated under FAR Part 6.302-1, and encompasses the distribution of medical and surgical products and delivery services. Among other things, the contractor shall be required to manage and deliver a wide range of medical/surgical products within 24 hours ARO to numerous sites within the facility; provide emergency deliveries within 6 hours ARO, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week; accept delivery orders electronically; provide products required on extended delivery orders within 10 days ARO; and provide monthly performance reports.
