NASA/KSC is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for Solvent 113, (1,1,2 trichloro- 1,2,2 trifluoro-ethane), IAW MIL-C-81302, Type II. A Certificate of Conformance to the MIL-SPEC may be required, to include laboratory test data results for each lot of solvent offered. Packaging per industry standard 55-gallon drum, approximately 690 lbs of solvent per drum, palletized, 4 drums per pallet. Approximate quantity sought -- 248,400 lbs (360 drums), freight prepaid, delivered FOB destination to Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. Interested parties should respond to this notice and provide (1) an estimated price per lb delivered; (2) number of lbs available; and (3) lead time needed to ship and deliver to KSC. Offers for partial quantities and multiple awards will be considered by the government to meet the total requirement. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; ownership data (whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged 8 (a), and or woman owned); number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime). Procurement related questions should be directed to the Contracting Officer listed herein. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product.
