This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required items. Proposals are hereby requested under RFP N00189-97-R-0124 a subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Detachment Hampton Roads, Norfolk intends to purchase, on a full and open competitive basis, for the acquisition of commercial lube oil and transmission oil as follows: 1. Society of Automotive Engineer Specs (SAE) 5W/30 lube oil, 3900 quart (qt), 2. MIL-L-2104 or 2104D, 10W lube oil, 700 qt, 3. SAE 10W/30 lube oil, 900 qt, 4. SAE 10W/30 lube oil, 50 5 gallon (5G), 5. SAE 10W/30 lube oil, 20 drum (dr), 6. MIL-L-2104, 15W/40 lube oil, 600 qt, 7. MIL-L-2104, 15W/40 lube oil, 300 5G, 8. MIL-L-2104, 15W/40 lube oil, 50 dr, 9. MIL-L-2104, 30W lube oil, 9000 qt, 10. MIL-L-2104, 30W lube oil, 500 5G, 11. MIL-L-2104, 30W lube oil, 400 dr, 12. MIL-L-2104, 40W lube oil, 200 dr, 13. MIL-L-2105 or MIL-PRF-2105, 80W/90 lube oil, 300 qt, 14. SAE transmission fluid (Dexron III), 300 5G, 18. SAE transmission fluid (Dexron III), 15 dr. Oil must be delivered anywhere in the Tidewater Area within forty-eight (48) of ordering. Impact cards will be used on orders under the card's authority. Multiple awards acceptable. The contract resulting from this solicitation wil be a requirement contract with firm fixed unit prices and effective from date of award to 12 months thereafter with four (4) one year option provisions. Proposals received shall specify FOB Destination, Tidewater Area, VA. Offers other than FOB Destination shall be ineligible for award. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, acceptance of offers is changed to read 90 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, FAR 52.212-2 Eval-Commercial Items: The Govt intends to make an award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the minimum technical requirements and submits the lowest overall price. The Govt reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest priced offeror.
