Nelson, 202/874-5040 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice is being issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number CC-98-Q-0044 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05, as if stated in full text. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small businesses under SIC code 3873 and has a small business size standard of 500 employees. The scope of work will be for the delivery of 2,500 world time travel alarm clocks with calculators (Alcraft, Model #WT-DSK-D6, or its equivalent). Clocks must display the time in any of the 16 major cities around the world. Clock must be detachable from aluminum base for traveling needs andshould include a bulit-in calendar alarm clock and a large display, eight digit calculator. All of the clocks must be silver. The clocks must include the following imprint: Preparing for the next Millennium with the OCC Seal. (Artwork and seal to be furnished by the OCC to the successful vendor.) The Government intends to make a single award of a firm fixed priced order to the lowest offeror. The Contractor is required to deliver the clocks, FOB destination, no later than December 31, 1998.
