for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subparts 12.6 supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are
being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
This notice is being issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number
CC-98-Q-0044 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05, as if stated in full text. This
acquisition is set aside 100% for small businesses under SIC code 3873
and has a small business size standard of 500 employees. The scope of
work will be for the delivery of 2,500 world time travel alarm clocks
with calculators (Alcraft, Model #WT-DSK-D6, or its equivalent).
Clocks must display the time in any of the 16 major cities around the
world. Clock must be detachable from aluminum base for traveling needs
andshould include a bulit-in calendar alarm clock and a large display,
eight digit calculator. All of the clocks must be silver. The clocks
must include the following imprint: Preparing for the next Millennium
with the OCC Seal. (Artwork and seal to be furnished by the OCC to the
successful vendor.) The Government intends to make a single award of
a firm fixed priced order to the lowest offeror. The Contractor is
required to deliver the clocks, FOB destination, no later than December
31, 1998. The specific delivery location for the clocks is Comptroller
of the Currency, 250 E Street, SW, (MS 4-18), Washington, DC, 20219,
ATTN: Bill Ayers. The FAR provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The FAR provisions
at 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is applicable. FAR
52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to
this acquisition and includes the following addenda: Paragraph (a) is
hereby modified to identify the constructive acceptance period of seven
(7) calendar days after delivery. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms
and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders --
Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the following clauses
cited in the clause are applicable to this acquisition; 52.219-8,
Utilization of Small Business Concerns and Small Disadvantaged Business
Concerns; 52.219-14, Limitation on Subcontracting; 52.222-26, Equal
Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and
Vietnam Era Veterans; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped
Workers; and 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans
and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. Offerors are encouraged to submit a
quote using the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for
Commercial Items, found at Internet URL:

quotes may be submitted on letterhead stationary and, at a minimum,
must provide: (1) the RFQ number; (2) the name, address, point of
contact and telephone number of the offeror;(3) a statement confirming
that delivery of all clocks will be made on or before December 31,
1998; (4) price and discount terms; (5) "remit to" address, if
different from mailing address; (6) a statement specifying the extent
of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in the
RFQ; (7) a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items; (8) sufficient
technical literature for the OCC to determine acceptability to the

representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of
