The National Park Service will be releasing a concession prospectus authorizing operation of the sale of photographic supplies and visitor convenience items for the visiting public within Capitol Reef National Park for a term of four years from January 1, 1999 through December 31, 2002. The concessioner currently operates the sale of photographic supplies and visitor convenience items. This is located at the visitor center in the park. The primary season of operation is May through September. The annual gross receipts over the past five years have averaged about $26,970. There is an existing concessioner Capitol Reef Natural History Association who has operated satisfactorily and under its existing contract and is, therefore, entitled to a right of preference in award of this contract. The current contract expires December 31, 1998. It is the intent of the National Park Service to issue a concession contract for these services.
