Administration is seeking proposals for the sale and redevelopment of
Parcel 457-C, a 75,000 square foot assemblage fronting on 7th, D, and
E Streets, NW, Washington, DC. This historic location, which includes
the site of Clara Barton's office during the Civil War, is in the heart
of downtown Washington's most active new neighborhood, one block from
Pennsylvania Avenue, and close to many major developments and
attractions. The site will support approximately 600,000 square feet of
buildable area, including a minimum of 345 residential units, 40,000
square feet of retail and arts uses, and approximately 250,000 square
feet of offeror proposed development. Initial responses to this
