This item must be capable of lifting, leveling, aligning and tamping railway tracks and ballast. The equipment must be capable of performing these operations on both straight track and switches with a single jacking system. Straight track tamping must be equivalent to standard industry high production rates. All geometry for the control of placement of the rails must be generated on board the tamper with the capability of retaining the information in electronic format.
