45433-7607 16 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) REGARDING ACTIVE INTERFERENCE
CANCELLATION (AIC'S) SYSTEMS SOL n/a POC Stephen C. Davis, Contracting

a request for information (RFI) only. This synopsis is for planning
purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request
for Proposals or Request for Quotes. Aeronautical Systems Center
Reconnaissance Mission Area Group (ASC/RMAG), is seeking information on
Active Interference Cancellation (AIC's) systems. Research is currently
being conducted to determine whether there are existing sources
available to meet mission requirements. Specific information requested
includes: 1) active interference cancellation (AIC) approaches to
address current airborne communications co-site performance
restrictions; 2) techniques for frequency agile filtering or
suppression of strong (relative to receive) in-band, hopped transmitted
signals, with minimal receiver degradation; 3) Fundamental performance
parameters such as dynamic range and noise figure capabilities as well
as sensitivity information is desired. Cost, space, weight and power
requirements along with maturity status of potential technology
solutions is also requested.; 4) information on existing contracts,
systems or components and/or statements of work to realize systems
similar to the aforementioned in the commercial or military market
place. Respondents to this RFI should identify whether they are a large
or small business along with their company's name, address, telephone
number and a POC. Any proprietary information submitted should be
identified as such. Please provide the requested information not later

45433-7106. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost
associated with submission of the information being requested or
reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this
RFI. No telephone requests will be accepted. Mr. Stephen J. Plaisted,
ASC/SYI, has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from
offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The
purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues,
disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government
personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of
the program director or the contracting officer. Accordingly, the
Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the
evaluation of proposals or the source selection process and, therefore,
for routine matters on individual solicitations, please contact Stephen

strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. Should you
