Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO), Defense
Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) project office, herewith provides the
following information: (1.) There is an upcoming GPS Joint Program
Office (JPO) DAGR Industry Week. The meetings will take place at Los
Angeles Air Force Base, CA starting on Monday, 19 October, proceeding
through Friday,-23 October 1998. The meetings will begin at 0800 and
end at approximately 1700 each day. Visitors must enter the complex
through bldg 110. The general briefings on Monday, 19 October, are
scheduled for bldg 125, room 1338 and the individual sessions will be
in the GPS Conference Room, bldg 120. (2.) The format of the meetings
will be as follows: Monday, 19 Oct Information Briefings, (Potential
Primes & Subcontractors) Morning (0800-1200) -- DAGR Program Update --
DAGR Tech Sample Testing -- SAASM Update -- GPS Modernization
Afternoon (1300-1700) -- DAGR Specification Review -- Question / Answer
Session Note: Due to space limitations, we ask that each contractor
bring no more than three (3) individuals to the general information
sessions. Tuesday, 20 Oct Individual Sessions, (Potential Prime
Offerors) 0800-1200 Prime A 1300-1700 Prime B Wednesday, 21 Oct
Individual Sessions, (Potential Prime Offerors) 0800-1200 Prime C
1300-1700 Prime D Thursday, 22 Oct Individual Sessions, (Potential
Prime Offerors) 0800-1200 Prime E 1300-1700 Prime F Friday, 23 Oct
Individual Sessions, (Potential Prime Offerors) 0800-1200 Prime G
1300-1700 Prime H (3.) As in the past, the individual sessions will be
handled on a "first come, first serve" basis. The format of the
discussion will be left entirely to the potential prime offeror and
there is no limit to the number of personnel you may include in the
meeting. If more than eight potential prime offerors request individual
sessions, we will start scheduling them on Tuesday, 27 October 1998.
(4.) At this time we do not anticipate any of the meetings will be
classified. If during the individual sessions you foresee the need to
discuss classified topics please inform Misty Honeywell. Also, we would
like everyone to send in a list of the people who plan to attend both
the general and the individual sessions to Misty Honeywell via e-mail,

Brent Kelly. This notice is not intended to award a contract on the
basis of information submitted nor otherwise pay for information
solicited. Also, be advised that an Ombudsman has been appointed to
hear concerns from potential offerors during the planning phase of this
acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the System Program Director or the Contracting Officer,
but to assist in communicating offeror concerns, issues, disagreements
and recommendation to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. The
