The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) anticipates establishing multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.303-1 in order to fill anticipated repetitive needs by establishing "Charge Accounts" with more than on supplier, if possible, for services of the same type to provide maximum practicable competition. Once BPA's are established the BEP will compete each order. The BEP will consider suppliers whose past performance has shown them to be dependable, who offer quality services at consistently lower prices, and who have provided numerous purchases at or below the single acquisition threshold. Sources are being sought for the following service for Fiscal Year 1999 (Oct. 1, 1998 Sept. 30, 1999) requirements. Special Fire Extinguisher System Inspection, testing and maintenance services. The contractor shall provide all labor and materials and equipment for the semi-annual inspection, testing and maintenance of a carbon dioxide (C02) wet, dry and halon fire extinguisher systems at the BEP's DC facility. The contractor shall repair any deficiencies in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, codes and standards. These BPA's will be set-aside for small businesses.
