material, and equipment necessary to perform Drydock repairs including,
but not limited to the following Base Items: 1) Remove and Install
Propulsion Shafts. 2) Install Tank and Compartment Vent Goosenecks and
Inverted Check Valves. 3) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves. 4) Clean,
Inspect and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks. (CGC Baranof). 5) Overhaul
Stabilizing Fins. 6) Renew Sewage Discharge Piping. 7)Preserve
Underwater Body. 8) Clean, Inspect and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks
(CGC Baranof). 9) Preserve Aluminum Mast. 10) Provide Temporary
Messing. 11) Provide Temporary Berthing. 12) Provide Temporary
Logistics. 13) Routine Drydocking. 14) Overhaul Appleton Marine
Electrohydraulic Crane (CGC Baranof). 15) Preserve Freeboard (CGC
Baranof). 16) Preserve All Aluminum "White Exterior Surfaces" (CC
Baranof). Optional Items Include, but not limited to the following: 1)
Welding Repairs 2) Preserve Potable Water Tanks. 3) Renew Entire
Capastic Fairing. The USCGC Baranof will be available on 15 March 1999
and the USCGC Chandeluer will be available on 04 January 1999; Each
availability will be for 42 days. Homeport for both vessels is Miami
Beach, FL.. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required
in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U. S.
Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA.
Plans and specifications will be issued or after Oct 21, 1998. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. Attention: Minority, Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working
capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts
receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit
