Proposals for the operation of the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center
located in Tucson, Arizona, will be available on October 16, 1998, for
issue in response to written requests, and for electronic access via
the Internet at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/index.html. It is
anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period July 1,
1999 through June 30, 2001, plus three (3) governmental unilaterally
renewable options of one (1) year. The proposed center on board
strength (OBS) is 300 trainees, consisting of 100 residential males, 95
residential females, 40 non-residential males, and 65 non-residential
females. There will be a tour of the facility on October 30, 1998, at
10:00AM local time, convening in the main conference room on the
center. A pre-proposal conference will convene immediately following
the facility tour. Closing date for submissions of proposals in
response to RFP IX-98-65 will be December 18, 1998, at 4:00PM, Pacific
Standard Time. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which
shall be considered by the agency. Job Corps is a residential academic
and vocational training program for economically disadvantaged youth,
