synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written
solicitation will not be issued. RFQ M6-Q9-98 applies. Acquisition is
for one Repair Kit for Air Transportable Hospital Picker VP4 X-ray
Unit. Kit components are as follows: Bumper, Tension Spring, Power
Block SCR, LM 317K Regulator, LM 337K Regulator, Pulse Transformer PCB,
High Tension Cable, Bumper, Rectifier, 10A/250V Fuse, NV RAM, Bucky
Complete, Spring, Filament Drive PCB, Display PCB, 24V Relay, Computer
PCB, Power Supply PCB, On-Off PCB, IC Serial Buffer, Anode Stator PCB,
MA-IVC PCB, Supply Transformer, 60A/600V Fuse, Drive Assembly, Special
Spring, Rope Assemblies, Generator Software, Console Software, End
Stop, Pulley and Brake, Brake Control PCB, Brake Assembly, Bucky Drive
PCB, Spare Hardware Kit, Horizontal Mag Brake, Center Stop Switch,
Linear Transducer, Collimator PCB, Tension Spring, Contactor, Ceramic
Lamp Holder, RS034 Potentiometer, and RS097 Motor & Gear Box.
Solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in
effect through FAC 97-05. Delivery must be made no later than 30 days
ADO by FOB Destination for 366 Medical Group/SGSL, 90 Hope Drive,
Building 6000, Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648-1000. The following
provisions as contained in FAR are applicable to the solicitation: FAR
52.212-1, 2, 3, 4, 5. For FAR 452.212-2, the evaluation criteria, in
descending order of importance are 1) Technical capability, 2) Past
performance, 3) Price. However, as an offeror's overall rating becomes
more equal to those for competing offers, the importance of price will
increase. In making this comparison, the Government is more concerned
with obtaining a superior past performance history and technical
features than making an award at the lowest price. The Government
reserves the right to make an award toother than lowest priced offeror
or to the offeror with other than the highest past performance or
technical rating if the Contracting Officer determines that to do so
would result in the best value to the Government taking into
consideration the factors and their importance as listed above. For FAR
52.212-3, offerors do not have to complete (c)(4) and (c)(5). For FAR
52.212-5, offerors must comply with all clauses except for 52.225-18,
19, 52.222-41 -- 44, and 47. Offers are due no later than October 19,
