The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract with GAMA Corporation, of Falls Church VA, to further extend the development of the Combat Decision Range (CDR) Dynamic Decision-Making Simulation beyond the initial level of development and prototyping under the current contract, to expose the Fleet Marine Force to the capabilities and diverse applications of the CDR, and to conduct selected experimental training as appropriate. In addition, the contract will require the contractor to conduct a series of diverse and multifaceted war games examining unique decision-making issues, assessing selected issues of critical policy and operational concern to the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and Marine Corps. The contract will also require the vendor to develop and assess advanced concepts related to the Marine Corps "After Next" initiative of the MCWL. These events will include the participation of both military and nonmilitary organizational representatives. The contract will additionally require the contractor to continue wargaming and other MCWL support utilizing the Tactical Training Tool (TTT), and indirect fires and decision-making model developed by GAMA Corporation over the past three years. This model has been integral to a critical three-year project examining rapid decision-making and pattern recognition on the 21st Century battlefield and the associated training integral to effective force development. This effort is projected to occur in fiscal years 1999 and 2000.
