The Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting proposals from interested hospitals located in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah to provide all necessary Outpatient Hemodialysis Services and Home Dialysis Services to IHS/Contract Health Services eligible patients referred by the IHS Area Offices of Phoenix, Window Rock, Tucson, Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Contract awards will be made to those hospitals who agree to accept as payment in full, reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment). This is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy entitled "Reimbursement Rates for Health Care Services Authorized Under the Indian Health Service Contract Regulations", published in the Federal Register on June 30, 1986. Multiple awards will be made for a twelve month period with 4 one-year options. RFP 822 will be available on October 22, 1998 and may be obtained by "written request" to the above address.
