PAPERLESS CONTRACTING PROCESS The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, in an effort to comply with the Army Material Command's mandate to go paperless by the year 2000, has set the following milestones for its paperless contracting process. Effective 1 January 1999, solicitations will be issued in electronic format only. Solicitations will be posted to our website at: http://www.tacom.army.mil/acqcen/. Notices of proposed contract actions will still be published in the CBD. Effective 1 April 1999, proposals will only be accepted in electronic format. We plan to limit electronic format of proposals to electronic mail, 3.5-inch hard disk, or CD. Hard copy responses by themselves will not be accepted. For contractor's wishing to register for automatic notification of TACOM solicitations, and who are already on our commodities list, please make sure this agency has been furnished with the following additional information: FSCM, Company Name, DUNS Number, and the email address where you would like the notice sent.
