This sources sought notice is issured for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The Shipyard is interested in finding a rpivider for forklift rentals. Forklift rental, quantity of 2 each, per the following specifications: High capacity (10,000LB) High Reach (54') forlift. Outriggers: Gives the machine added stability and wieght capacity. Transaction: Moves the extened boom horizontally forward and back 80" allowing the operator to extend the boom to the proper height and then slide the boom forward then down to the platform. This is a considerable advancement and safety factor from existing high reach systems. Automatic fork leveling: This allwos a two dimensional pick of load rather than having to boom up then extend the boom out (and so on) to pick a load. this applies at both ground and extended level. Steering: 1 wheel. In the drydock maneuverability is a must. Right side rear view mirror. Tires: foam filled. Engine: Diesel powered -- 100 hp min. @ 2500 RPM. Transmission: 3-speed semi-automatic, fwd & rev. column mounted shift lever. Neutral start switch, H.D. transmission oil cooler. Declutch switch allows a brake pedal to disengage transmission when brake is applied. Mast: 4-section fully syncronized slide boom. Forks: 48". Electrical: 12 volt, negative ground, maintenance free battery, circuit breaker protected system. Cab: Full operator enclosed cab with heater, defroster, fan, wipers, and door. Loadcell on boom: It is required that a loadcell be added to this lease for weighing the loads prior to lifting from the drydock. This options would eliminate the need for a set of scales to be located in the vicinity of the forklift as well as additional lifts to and from the scale. Loadcell should have a lift range capable of measuring from 0 to 10,000 LBS with an accuracy rate of + or -- 5%. The operator of the forklifts shall be capable of reading the load cell from the forklift cab. Note: There are serveral options available as standard equipment for this machine that would be requested to be bypassed (turned off) as they become safety items. Frame leveling: Lock out or disconnect the frame leveling feature of the forklift. In that these forklifts will only be used in dock at Puget. This option should be disconnected for safety reasons.
