The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide sleeping rooms, meeting space and meals for AmeriCorps VISTA Pre-Service Orientation on October 20, 21, 22, 1998 and AmeriCorps VISTA Early Service Training for October 27, 28, 29, 1998 and for November 17, 18, 19, 1998. On October 20, October 27, and November 17, the following will be required: Beginning at 11:00 AM, a registration area in the lobby of the facility with 5 large tables; dinner in the main dining area (served at 6:30 pm) for approximately 189 persons on October 20, 152 persons on October 27, and 264 persons on November 17. 96 sleeping rooms (doubles) on October 20, 132 sleeping rooms (doubles) on October 27, 76 sleeping rooms (doubles) for November 17. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., one large meeting room for approximately 200 people (classroom style); Six break-out rooms will be required (to accommodate 35 at round tables. Beginning on October 22, October 29 and November 19 at 11:30 am, one large room is required to accommodate 200-264 persons (classroom style). Dinner to be served in the main dining area for 189 persons on October 21-22, 264 on October 28-29, and 152 persons on November 17-19. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the main dinning area. (25% of all meals are estimated be kosher or vegetarian.) Two (2) coffee breaks served each day (AM&PM) The AM break shall consist of coffee, tea and punch; the PM break of punch and light snacks. A/V equipment to consist of one (1) telephone at the registration desk; one microphone in the main meeting room; one (1) microphone and two flip charts in each of the six (6) breakout rooms all week. A room with video/movie showing capability and able to seat 250 persons required for the first and second evenings of each set of dates. Facility must meet and comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) Regulations. All meeting rooms and dinning facilities must be smoke free.
