leightonsl@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft
Division (NAVAIRWARCENACDIV), Test and Evaluation Engineering
Department, Mission Systems Division, Ship Ground Station (SGS) is
tasked with Research Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), fleet,
and programmatic support for ship/air mission systems integration. This
support includes evaluation of air, ship, and ship/air system
modifications, test support for Research and Development (R&D)
programs, software life cycle T&E, Anti-Submarine Warfare trainer
support, C4ISR integration, flight and system simulator T&E, and
support for technology demonstration programs. The SGS contains full
DD-963 and FFG-7 class shipboard portions of the Light Airborne
Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) MK III and acts the Weapon System Support
Activity (WSSA) for this system. SGS work is associated with, but not
limited to, the LAMPS MK III weapon system, especially the shipboard
portion, and all H-60 variants and derivatives. The objective of this
requirement is to provide discrete elements of support for the SGS and
related air platforms. This support shall include: engineering support
for ship, air and ship/air integrated system, acoustics, ESM,
electro-optical, and RF sensors, data handling and data display;
engineering support for operational software; independent completion of
specifically identified subsets of the T&E process; design and
construction of equipment and systems required for quantification of
mission system performance and integration of laboratory and tracking
facilities; management support; SGS technician and operational support;
and technical data management. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract with
a base year and four one-year option periods is anticipated. A Sources
Sought Synopsis for this requirement appeared in the CBD on 13 MAR 98.
This contracting action provides for full and open competition. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by
this agency. Responsible sources are encouraged to submit requests for
