65 -- PHARMACEUTICAL SUPPORT SERVICE SOL RFQ 548-99-SB-30 DUE 102398 POC Suzanne Byrne 561-882-6508 or Donna Nelson 561-882-6510 The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida intends to award an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract for pharmaceutical support services. The Contractor shall provide pharmaceutical services in the Fort Pierce, Florida area to approximately 2800 beneficiaries as prescribed by the health care providers at the Fort Pierce VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic located at 728 North US Highway 1 Fort Pierce, Florida. Contractor shall be required to fill all narcotic prescriptions, as well as medications not stocked by the Clinic, listed on the VHA National Formulary. Contractor may also be required to supply any other medication listed on the VHA National Formulary, which is out of stock or not available to the Clinic. Pharmaceutical services include filling of prescriptions, services and patient education concerning their medication. Contractor shall be within the following boundaries of the Fort Pierce Community Clinic: South to Virginia Ave., West to S. Jenkins Rd., North to St. Lucie Blvd. And East to S. Ocean Drive. The base period for this contract shall be 11/1/98 -- 4/30/99 with four (4) 0ne (1) year options for renewal. The VA intends to award a single contract but reserves the right to make multiple awards if in the Government's best interest. The period of acceptance for quotations is 30 calendar days.
