Brown, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-5286 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The annoucement constitutes the only aolicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)#FBICU9902, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-6. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a 100% set aside for Small Business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7389 and the Business Size Standard is $5.0. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract for fifty-six (56) service matryr exhibits, approximately 10' 7" long and 6' 4" high. The exhibits are constructed out of masonite or some other sturdy material that will accept formica glued to it. The exhibit has eighteen (18) sections, each 10" wide, and every sections face each other at ninety degree angles. Above each section there is a light. The lights are all wired together and connected to a switch on the side of the exhibit. Of the two sides facing each other, one side has photos that are printed on silver metal photo, the other side has text that is printed on gray vinyl. Both the metal photo and the vinyl are mounted on black plexiglass. The sides with the metal photo have Formica #754-42 Black Faux Marble, Sparkle finish behind them. The header panel is 3-D letters, 4" high, clarendon Bold font, painted black. They are mounted on Formica #961-58 Fog, Matte finish. The sides of the exhibt and the molding are all painted. All paint on the exhibit is "Make it Stone Textured Paint" by Krylon #8201-Black Granite. The exhibit has at least two 2X4's attached to the back to be used as cleats. An illustration and specification booklet is available upon requests. FOB-Destination -- to various ship to locations within the continential United States .
