Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating
contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site
(SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. The purpose of this notice is to
determine public interest in the possible licensing of a technology
called "On-Line Air Monitor Discriminates Against Radon." The "On-Line
Air Monitor" uses a novel filter medium and significantly reduces the
number of false alarms triggered by the collection of Radon progeny by
conventional glass filters. The monitor is comprised of air inlet and
outlet lines, a radiation detector, a sampling box, a sintered
stainless steel filter disk, and a vacuum pump. Respondents will be
provided with a technical brief and instructions for preparing and
submitting a business plan, an integral element of the licensing
