J -- DRYDOCK AND OVERHAUL REPAIRS TO DECK CARGO BARGES 40 & 41 SOL DACW61-99-B-0001 DUE 121098 POC Contact Terry Stumpo, 215-656-6763, Purchasing Agent The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price Job Order under a Master Ship Agreement for the drydock and overhaul repairs of two (2) deck cargo barges. Prospective contractors must have or be capable of entering into a Master Ship Agreement and have drydocking capabilities. The barges have the same dimensions of 91 feet, 2-3/4 inches in length with a beam of 30 feet, 2-1/4 inches and depth of 7 feet. The vessels have a loaded draft of 6 feet 3 inches. Gross tonnage for each is 418 long tons. The work to be performed may consist of, but not limited to, drydocking, replacing and repairing the hull, deck and bull work, blasting and painting the vessels, tank cleaning and gas-freeing, replacing the deck hatches, add new and placing the vent piping, repairing the rub rails and adding rubber to the rails and other repairs. The work is scheduled to commence on or about 4 January 1999. The work will be performed in two phases. The first phase, Planning, will be completed within seven (7) calendar days of Notice of Contract Award and the second phase, Drydocking and Repair, will be completed within forty-five (45) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed for a total of fifty-two (52) calendar days.
