(GAI), a Cloud to Ground Lightning Surveillance System (CGLSS), formerly known as LLP, an Eastern Range system that consists of six (6) advanced lightning direction finders (ALDFs) and an advanced position analyzer (APA) which locates cloud-to-ground lightning using magnetic and time of arrival direction finding. This requirement is for the procurement of spares for the existing upgraded CGLSS system. The following items are to be procured: Item 0001, Quantity (2) each, Description: Primary Line Replaceable Unit (PLRU), for the 141T-ES Sensors. Item 0002, Quantity (2) each, Description: Interface Line Replaceable Unit (ILRU), for the 141T-ES Sensor. Item 0003, Quantity (1) each, Description: Advanced Position Analyzer (APA 280T Impact. Item 0004, Quantity (3) each, Description: Dome Gaskets for the 141T-ES Sensors. Item 0005, Quantity (1) canister, Description: Desiccant, for the 141T-ES Sensors. These items must be physically, electrically and functionally compatible to the existing ER CGLSS equipment. Specifications, plans and/or drawings relating to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government due to proprietary information. Global Atmospherics Inc. (GAI) possesses unique knowledge and proprietary rights that cannot be obtained from any other source. The statutory authority for Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 USC 2034 (1), only one responsible source. The applicable SIC code and size standard are 3829/500.
