This solicitation, number NMA401-99-R-0002, is being issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to issue an order for the following services: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, chemicals and other supplies necessary to remove snow and ice from parking lots and adjacent roadways, sidewalks, steps, concrete stairs and steps, steel stairs and entrance areas at the NIMA College located in Ft. Belvoir, VA. There is approximately 20,420 square yards of roadways and parking lots, and approximately 2,845 square yards of sidewalks, steps, stairs, porches, pavilion areas and entrance ways. In addition, salt application services shall be provided for ice prevention, treatment, and personnel safety. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance: (1) Past Performance and (2) Price. These services are to be performed for the base year to be effective the date of award through 30 September 1999 and 4 option years.
