NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER The Dept of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Johnson Machinery, Riverside, CA, to provide monthly on-site preventative maintenance/repair on a 320L CAT Hydraulic Excavator as described in Caterpillar's Lube and Maintenance Guide, located at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA, covering the period Nov 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999, with two, on-year options, To extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2001. This is not a request for proposal and there is no solicitation available. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. Firms that can provide the required services described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. This is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 5 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
