(Site Code DACA67) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District,
is seeking sources to submit proposals and compete for the subject
design-build project. This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) project paid
for with soldiers' dollars. No appropriated funds of the U.S. shall
become due or be paid to the contractor as a result of any contact
resulting from this solicitation. This will be a Design-Build project
where the successful contractor will be responsible for the design and
construction of a complete and usable facilities within the
requirements of the RFP. The solicitation is for the remodel and
upgrade of the existing auto skills center and car wash facilities at
Fort Riley, Kansas. Work will consist of the following: For the
Automotive Skill Center work will include construction of a new
entrance; replace the exterior metal siding and existing roof; increase
exterior lighting fixtures. Reconfigure the floor plan to create a
larger auto parts sales and tool storage areas; relocate the engine
repair area, installtwo new 7,000 LB lifts; replace the vehicle
tailpipe exhaust system; install a new waste oil recovery system and
increase the electrical and HVAC systems. The automotive Skills Center
will be air conditioned with the work bays having mechanical
ventilation. For the car wash work will include construction f a small
addition to the equipment room; clean and repair the wash bays;
install new lighting; replacement of pumps, control panels, water
softeners, coin drops and selectors. Prospective offerors may be
pre-qualified to ensure that firms competing for this project have the
qualifications and experience to successfully complete design-build
projects. The qualifications and experience of each design-build team
will be evaluated and ranked. The request for Proposal (RFP) package
will be issued to no more than six (6) qualified offerors. Requests for
