The U.S. Army Soldier, Biological, and Chemical Command (SBCCOM) intends to negotiate with Fibertek, Inc., 510 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, VA 22070, under the authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2304(c)(1) for modifications to the Short Range Biological Standoff Detections Systems (SR-BSDS), contract number DAAM01-95-C-0047, which is a laser based biological detection system. The modification will include the upgrading and refurbishment of the SR-BSDS that will affect optics, transmitter, receiver, and software elements.
