Vencius, (562) 961-8058 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source purchase order under simplified acquisition procedures to Acuson Corporation, 1220 Charleston Rd., Mountain View, CA 90043 for the maintenance of Acuson Sequoia C256 Echocardiography and Model 512 Ultrasound Systems, including transducers and peripherals. No solicitation document exists. Prospective contractors should submit written price and technical data within 10 days of this notice. Interested firms must clearly and convincingly document their capability to maintain the subject systems in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) requirements, specifications, and criteria, including providing all necessary replacement parts (except for consumables), and operating system software updates at no additional cost to the government, and performing at least one preventive maintenance procedure per year, at a cost sufficiently advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by the due date,an award will be made to Acuson Corporation.
