The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), intends to award a sole source purchase order to USATREX to provide access control monitoring services at the DTRA Hybla Valley facilities and the Alexandria Technical Center, for the period 1Nov98 through 31Jan99. Due to their current involvement, USATREX is the only known source that can provide access monitoring control support with cleared personnel, familiar with the facilities, and trained in the badging process. This action will continue this support for three months until a subsequent contract can be awarded under Section 8a of the Small Business Act. Continuation of this same level of support is critical to the protection of DTRA employees, facilities, and the successful completion of the DTRA mission. USATREX is the only known source that can satisfy the Government's requirement, given the number of trained personnel, cleared to the SECRET level, required for the short, three month period of performance.
