The 61st Air Base Group (61 ABG) and Space and Missile Center (SMC) is analyzing the management and operation of the current Government-operated Sports and Fitness Center for direct conversion under OMB Circular A-76. This acquisition is being considered as either a set-aside under section 8(a) of the Small Business Act; or a small business set-aside. All interested sources are encouraged to respond. If this function is contracted out, the Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price contract with a one-year basic period of performance and four one-year option periods. Each SOC must specify the full name of the company, business size, evidence of 8(a) eligibility, relevant past performance, and any proposed teaming arrangements. Firms should ensure SOCs are complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firm's qualifications to perform the defined work and business size eligibility. The SOCs will be the basis for the Government's decision to establish this requirement as an 8(a) or small business set-aside for competitive acquisition. If adequate responses are not received from 8(a) companies, this requirement will be considered as a small business set-aside. Therefore, replies to this notice are also requested from all small businesses that meet the small business size standard of $5 million for Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 7991.
