25TH ENVIRONMENTAL SYMPOSIUM & EXHIBITION The National Defense Industrial Association in cooperation with the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Environmental Security) and the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installations Management, Department of the Army, announces a Call for Papers for the 25th Environmental Symposium & Exhibition, to be held March 29-April 1, 1999 in Denver, Colorado. The conference theme is "Privatization/Outsourcing of DoD Environmental Operations: Who? What? When? Where? and Why?" The theme selected for this "Silver Anniversary" Environmental Symposium focuses on two major procurement actions with the Department of Defense's environmental activities and operations; namely Privatization and Outsourcing. The objectives of this symposium are to present the ever important related questions Who? What? When? Where? and Why? to provide a forum for their discussions through government/industry interactions; and collectively develop inputs to the DoD decision-makers regarding implementation efficiencies and economies of scale. Submitted papers for possible presentation at the 25th Environmental Symposium may cover such sub-topics as are deemed to be of current interest to symposium participants, particularly those involved with defense installations.
