The previous solicitation number of DAAB07-98-R-G316 is no longer valid for this SADA II acquisition. The new solicitation number for this acquisition is DAAB07-99-R-J553. All correspondence and proposals shall reference the new solicitation number. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for the SADA II has been formally posted/issued to the CECOM Business Opportunity Page (BOP) on 1998 October 09 with proposals due on 1998 November 09. The receipt of electronic or hard copy (paper) proposals shall be addressed in the upcoming Amendment 0001 to this solicitation (DAAB07-99-R-J553) and shall be posted to the CECOM BOP. This CBD announcement updates/modifies the previous synopsis, issued under solicitation number DAAB07-98-R-G316, for the SADA II acquisition, and is not a synopsis for a new requirement. The SADA II units shall meet the requirements of performance specification PRF-5009755, dated 10 October 1996 and as modified by Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) PM12-001, PM13-001, PM13-002, PM13-003, PM13-004 and PM13-005. The SADA II requirements shall be fulfilled via Full and Open Competition with up to three Firm Fixed Price contracts awarded on a Best-Value Basis. Each contract(s) shall be for a base year plus two option periods. The total HTI base requirements are 430 each and the ITAS base requirements are 84 each. The total HTI and ITAS option quantities are 851 and 325 each respectively. Warranty requirements for the SADA II base and option quantities are included and addressed in the solicitation.
