Contracting Officer, (202)307-0093 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP)
is conducting market research and exploring initiatives/possible
options for the most suitable approach to obtain Community Corrections
Center Services (Halfway House Beds) within the State of Wisconsin,
with specific emphasis on beds within the city limits of Madison and
Rhinelander, Wisconsin respectively. This synopsis is for information
and planning purposes only and does NOT constitute a Request of
Proposals. The purpose of this announcement is to afford industry an
opportunity to comment and discuss any perceived issues and to all the
Government to receive benefit froom these comments. To accomplish
this, the BOP will conduct Industry Interchange Meetings (IIMs) in
Madison, Wisconsin during the period of November 17-18. IIMs will be of
90 minute durations between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the
East Towne Suites Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin. This will be an
opportunity to meet one-on-one with Government representatives to
discuss the delivery of services to Federally sentenced individuals.
Should travel to Madison, Wisconsin be undesirable, interested parties
may elect to submit comments in writing to Mary Bloom, Community
Corrections Specialist, Federal Bureau of Prisons, 320 First Street,
N.W., 400 Building, Second Floor, Washington, D.C. 20534. Comments will
not be critiqued and the Government does not intend to pay for the
information solicited and shall NOT recognize any costs associated with
this initiative. Proprietary information is not being solicited and
information considered proprietary shall be identified as such. The
purpose of the IIMs is to determine feasibility, identify potential
problems areas, and receive recommendations in order to enhance the
success of possible solicitations that may be issued. The BOP believes
industry feedback is important, and is receptive to all ideas which
would result in limiting potential technical and contractual problem
areas. Industry is hereby informed that any comments provided should be
viewed as an opportunity to improve any eventual solicitation packages,
although they may or may not be utilized. The availability of any
subsequent solicitations will be synopsized prior to release.
Eligibility to participate in any future acquisition does not depend on
an response to this notice. All interested parties should contact
