This project consists of removing and replacing two existing roofs located at the powerhouse at the Federal Correctional Institution located at Tallahassee, Florida. The range of magnitude for this construction project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This is a firm fixed price contract. The duration of contract performance for total project is twenty-one calendar days from notice to proceed. The SIC code for this project is 1761, prior year gross not in excess of $7.0 million dollars. Solicitation packages will be available on or about October 23, 1998, with a bid due date on or about November 24, 1998. A pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled for November 3, 1998. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference due to the unique nature of working at a Federal Penal Institution. Plans and specifications will be made available for inspection at no charge, after formal issuance, at the Contracting office located at FCI Tallahassee. All requests for the solicitation package must be in writing, addressed to the Contracting Officer.
