CCLELAND@BOP.GOV. The Federal Correctional Institution Safford, Arizona
is currently seeking qualified sources for the supply and installation
of an epoxy resin flooring in the inmate dorm restrooms. Contractor
shall provide all materials, labor, and eqpuipment to perform all work
as indicated in the contract documents. All preparation of new surface
will be the reponsibility of the contractor which will include: removal
of top coating, filling all minor floor iperfections with compatible
material, apply a slurry filled epoxy resin at approximately 1/16"
nominal thickness, broadcast wet resin to refusal with 60 mesh
aggregate, apply an epoxy topcoat at approximately 15 mils including
cove base, and other requirements needed to match all adjacent floor
elevations of institution areas as indicated on the project drawings.
This consists of approximately 5500 square feet of finished floor
surface. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to verify all
dimensions. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site visit is
scheduledfor November 17, 1998 at 1:00 pm. The Contractor's personel
must successfully pass a security background investigation prior to
award of a contract. All request for solicitation documents shall be in
writing and must state the contractor's name, address, telephone and
fax number, and solicitation number being requested. Contractor's shall
also submit the name, Social Security Number, and date of birth for
anyone attending the Pre-Bid Conference and site visit, a NCIC
background check shall be conducted for anyone entering the
institution. This information shall be subitted no later than November
12, 1998, anyone submitting this information after this date will be
denied access to the job site. The Federal Correctional Institution
reserves the right to deny access to the job site to anyone not
successfully passing an NCIC background investigation or possess a
threat to the secure and orderly operation of the institution. Due to
the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site visit, no request for
solicitations will be honored after November 13, 1998. Request for
