soliciting information for potential sources for the purpose of
providing a column-type precision surface grinder. The grinder shall
have capacities of at least 14 inches grinding width and at least 48
inches grinding length and shall have a work height of at least 16
inches with a full wheel. The table load capacity including the chuck
shall be at least 1,800 pounds. The Grinder shall have, but not be
limited to, the following features. At least a 15 HP Spindle Motor
Automatic Lubrication System NFPA 79 Electrical Specifications Power
Elevation Complete Flood Coolant System Balancing Arbor Automatic
Incremental Downfeed Hood Mounted Hydraulic Wheel Dresser, With Diamond
Electro-Magnetic Chuck at least 14 inches wide and 48 inches long
Performance Specifications: Parallelism (5 block test): .0005 overall
Flatness: .0003 transverse, .0001 longitudinal Surface Finish: 15 micro
No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the
solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in
the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the
potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the
release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the
capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are
invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and
references. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3541 with a
