FSIS intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for studies and analyses, which assess the impact of the "Pathogen Reduction; Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Final Rule" (available on http://www.fsis.usda.gov/OA/fr/haccp_rule.htm). The studies and analyses will determine if the objectives stated in the PR/HACCP Final Rule are being met. The period of performance will be from date of contract award through September 30, 1999, with three one-year option periods. Oral presentations will be part of the evaluation and are planned for the month of December.
