339-4231 This is a Simplified Acquisition Procedure Solicitation for
Body and Fender Structure, Corrosion Control and Mechanical Repairs on
Crane, USN #82-04512. The contractor shall provide all labor,
equipment, materials, tools, instruments, transportation and
supervision necessary to provide inspection, renew batteries and move
equipment to Shop crane working area, replace alternator assembly, tune
up carrier engine, renew primary and secondary fuel filters, reset fuel
racks and valve lash on both bands, secure all fuel lines, change
carrier engine oil and filters, renew air cleaner element, flush, drain
and refill carrier engine cooling system, renew coolant filter, flush,
drain and refill hydraulic tank, renew hydraulic filter, drain and
refill differentials (rear and intermediate), replace carrier engine
throttle cable, replace steering center drag-link assembly (rusted
out), replace eight (8) each front suspension stabilizer beam torsion
bar fastener nuts (rusted out), put in operation hack system,
altarwiring and relay, check carrier instrument panel gauges, meters
and switch, repair and replace defective parts as required, drain and
refill transmission oil, service all grease nipples under chassis, tune
up crane engine, renew fuel filters and air cleaner element, reset fuel
racks and valve lash, flush crane engine cooling system, drain and
refill coolant with anti freeze solution, replace radiator upper hose
elbow (rusted out), repair or replace fuel gauge on crane cab
(inoperative), replace crane house with shield wiper motor, arm and
blade (missing), check and repair wiring and switch, install seat belts
in house operator seat, drain and refill crane transmission and final
drive, lower and secure boom on the craddle, R&R, overhaul hook block,
R&R main hoist clutch and brake linings, clean and deglaze linings and
drums, adjust as per manufacturer's specs, R&R boom clutches and brake
linings, clean and deglaze linings and drums, adjust as per
manufacturer's specs, R&R both swing clutches, clean and deglaze
linings and drums, adjust as per manufacturer's specs, R&R, overhaul
swing brake, R&R, overhaul boom point sheaves, disconnect and separate
boom point section from boom base, replace bent and rusted latties (7)
each as per manufacturer's procuredure (require certified welder),
prime paint repaired areas, reinstall boom point section, R&R floating
gantry, disassemble and inspect sheaves, bushings and spacers for
wear, repair or replace defective parts, reassemble and install, R&R
lower gantry, disassemble and inspect sheaves, bushings and spacers,
repair or replace defective parts, reassemble and install, inspect all
wire ropes for wear, kinks and broken strands, if satisfactory,
lubricate all wire ropes, replace pawl actuator on left drum, R&R,
overhaul left and right front outrigger stabilizer cylinders, calibrate
levels, lubricate turntable, outriggers, control levers and linkages,
service all grease nipple on upper works, put in operation back up
alarm, put in operation all lighting system, include flood lights,
perform equipment operational test and final adjustments on mobile
crane. Provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, instruments,
transportation and supervision necessary to provide inspection/write
up, have certified welder inspect and certify all welds on boom
sections and crane load sections, purchase and install crane operator
seat belt, purchase and replace all data plates, purchase and replace
crane engine housing assemblies to include doors and brackets
(support), purchase and replace crane operators cab assembly to include
doors, glass panels and support brackets, purchase and replace carrier
operators cab assembly to include doors and glass panels, steam clean
and water blast complete to remove dirt, oil and grease, descale and
sand complete, chassis (under carriage) and carrier assembly, descale
and san complete crane assembly, descale and sand complete boom
sections, prepare complete mask all areas not to be painted on chassis,
carrier, crane and boom sections, paint complete, chassis, carrier
crane and boom section, to include hazard markings (black and yellow
strippings), unmasking, touch up and relettering on 35 ton crane.
Specifications will be available on or about 03 November 1998 and
Receipt of Quotes is schedule for 17 November 1998 at 4:30 p.m. (Guam
Time). This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses.
