Norris, Contracting Officer, (703) 696-0919 The Marine Corps Systems Command proposes to procure 916 ea. commercial off the shelf Discreet Cases M4 which will enable the transportation of the close quarters battle weapon. The cases will be made of AP MIL SPEC 1000 denier camouflage cordura with coated backside. The pouches will hold 30 or 40 rounds of 5.56 magazines with zippered front cargo pocket for ease of use and locking to center (of three) "D" rings. The pouches shall include 3/8" closed cell foam padding completely around weapon, which takes shock and will not absorb water. All stitching will be 6.5 to 7.0 inch, number 69E thread with no. 302 stitch pattern, and tacked B for durability. This is a small business set-aside. M. A.
