The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place an order with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Baltimore, MD, under NAVAIR Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-97-G-0093 to perform analytical and computational studies to refine Fatigue Life Expended (FLE) estimates for the F-14 aircraft as part of an overall effort to attain maximum useful life from a finite number of airframes. NGC is the sole designer and manufacturer of the aircraft and currently designs all major F-14 structural modifications.
