Yuen, (808) 474-3385 Requirements Contract for Maintenance and Repair Services for Low Pressure Air Compressors at Building 149, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all necessary technical assistance, special equipment, parts and materials to Government personnel performing scheduled preventive maintenance overhaul, high/low pressure element(s)/main bearing/oil pump housing replacements, and other unforeseen repairs to the Atlas Copco low pressure air compressor(s) (Atlas Copco Model ZR-7D unit) at Building 149, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. SIC Code 7699 applies. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Atlas Copco under the authority of FAR 6.302, since they are the only firm that can provide the spare parts required for the overhaul. Firms that have the capability to perform the above work should notify us within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause.
