(612) 370 2241 The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA),
Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection
and Quarantine (PPQ), Waimanalo, Hawaii, requires a source of supply
for an estimted 75(seventy-five) 100-pound barrels of Methyl
P-Hydroxybenzoate for the period of November 1, 1998 or date of award,
whichever is later, through September 30, 1999, with one (1) 1-year
renewal option. Barrels shall be approximately 100-110 pounds in size.
Prices shall be per barrel, firm fixed price, F.O.B. destination,
regardless of barrel size. The product will be used as a food
preservative in the diet mix for the rearing of the Mediterranean Fruit
Fly at the Hawaii Fruit Fly Rearing Facility. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document
