Kleeb (703) 648-7370 The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is requesting information from commercial sources regarding maintenance of the following SAS software products which currently reside on the USGS IBM 9672-R75 mainframe computer: Base SAS/MBS (OS/SAS), SAS/GRAPH, BASE2K, CICSS2k, and MUP. Based on information available at this time, the USGS considers the required software to be sole-source and plans to enter into non-competitive discussions with SAS Institute of Cary, North Carolina. Any responses to this synopsis should contain sufficient technical documentation and descriptive literature to sufficiently describe software capabilities. Publicly available commercial pricing information in response to the above description is also requested in as much detail as possible. Neither a draft statement of work nor specifications are available. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this synopsis. The Contracting Officer plans to acquire the software and related services pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
